BREADCRUMB

Community Partnerships

Strong schools are built by strong communities.

At District 742, our community partners are essential co-educators who help expand the possibilities for every student.

By bridging the gap between the classroom and the real world, providing vital family support, and investing their time in student growth, these collaborators ensure our graduates are prepared for whatever comes next. Together, we are building a stronger, more connected future for our entire community.

Evaluation Criteria

To ensure high-quality outcomes for our schools, all partnership proposals are evaluated based on the following:

Mission Alignment: Does the program directly support District 742 strategic goals (e.g., career readiness, literacy, equity) and complement the existing curriculum?

Equity & Access: Is the opportunity accessible to all students regardless of background, ability or financial means? Does it honor our diverse community?

Student Safety & Privacy: Partners must adhere to strict data privacy (FERPA) laws and background check requirements. We do not accept proposals that require selling student data or compromising safety.

Non-Commercial Focus: Classrooms are learning spaces, not marketplaces. Partnerships cannot be used for direct sales, marketing, religious proselytizing or political campaigning.

The Partnership "Quick Check"

We prioritize collaborations where the student experience is the main focus. Before submitting a proposal, please ask:

"Does this initiative primarily benefit the students of District 742, or does it primarily benefit my organization?"
